Miko Hughes was born on 22 February 1986, in Apple Valley, California, the USA of Native American heritage and his name means “Chief” in Chickasaw. He started his acting career in a public service announcement at just 22 months old and followed that up by appearing in his first feature film at 27 months old.

Miko was a prolific child actor churning out movies with regularity, such hits as Mercury Rising with Bruce Willis and “Kindergarten Cop” with Arnold Schwarzenegger. In total to date, he has appeared in over 20 films and on numerous television series to a guest spot on the series “Caveman” in 2007 and after seven years we next saw Miko in 2014 on the series “The New Adventures of Pinkgirl and The Scone.”

Miko’s talents really shone through in 1998’s “Mercury Rising” opposite Willis; here he plays ‘Simon Lynch’ a nine-year-old autistic savant who is targeted for death by Shadowy elements in the NSA when he is able to decipher a top-secret code. Willis plays the cop who protects him from danger in this exciting action flick. Some other 1990s  films include “Jack the Bear” with Danny Devito and Cops and Robberson with Chevy Chase.

Four years earlier he played Dylan in the creepy horror flick “Wes Cravens New Nightmare” and at the start of his career, he was ‘Cage Creed’ in the Stephen King novel “Pet Sematary,” playing one of the creepiest kids you will ever see in the film.  He also appeared in numerous TV series and was a regular as ‘Aaron Bailey’ on “Full House.”

Miko Hughes was one of the most prolific and talented child stars in the 1990s, he remains active with roles in “A City of Shoulders and Noses” which has been announced, and “The Untold Story” which is expected in 2018.
