Josh Hutcherson was born on the 12th of October 1992, in Union, Kentucky, he was part of the cast of the film version of “The Polar Express” which also included Tom Hanks he was the voice of “Hero Boy” in the animated film.
Before Polar Express Josh had also appeared in “American Splendor,” in a small role as the trick-or-treating kid dressed as “Robin” and playing “Joey” in “One Last Ride.” Josh also played the role of “TJ” in “Motocross Kids.” Josh had a big year in 2005 with three film roles including, “Bucky” in “Kicking & Screaming” with Robert Duvall and Will Ferrell, along with “Zathura: A Space Adventure” which also features Kristen Stewart and “Little Manhattan.” Josh also played “Carl Munro” in the 2006 film R.V. with Robin Williams, Jeff Daniels, and Carly Schroeder.
Josh’s film roles continued in 2007 with films such as “Bridge to Terabithia” and “Firehouse Dog” and in 2008 he played Sean in “Journey to the Center of the Earth.” He also was ‘Jimmy Jasperson’ in “Winged Creatures” The following year he starred in “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” (2009) and in 2010 he appeared in “The Kids Are All Right.” He later reprised the role of Sean Anderson in the sequel “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” and also starred in “Detention” the same year to end his teen years role.
On broadcast TV during his childhood and teen years he appeared in the telefilms “Wilder Days” and “Miracle Dogs” as well as the series “House Blend,” “ Party Wagon” and the rehash of “Courtship of Eddie’s Father.” He has made guest appearances in “ER,” “The Division” as well as “The Line of Fire.”
Well past his teen years, Josh Hutcherson continues to be a hard-working actor appearing in many films such as “Red Dawn” and the very popular Hunger Games movie series.
