This is an early 1960s battery-operated Toy Dog from Ideal, Gaylord walks, climbs and even fetches his bone, he can sit and walk backward to your command.
I had a Gaylord basset hound when I was a little girl. I remember having him and playing with him it was like in 1963-64. I was like 3 or 4 years old and I was born in 1960. He was my best friend Gaylord the best dog ever.
