The Twilight Zone

Page 1 of 3Next

One of the best show ever in the history of television and I am referring to the 1959 to 1964 Rod Seling version, not the ridiculous movie or the other revivals such as the 80s version, which actually was not bad and the 2002 version and the current version which is absolute preachy garbage.

The Rod Serling version gave us well written and acted stories with a message, in the end, the current version tries to ram their views down your throat and all of it is progressive rubbish.

The original show every single episode was a masterpiece but you can still pick out gems like season 5s "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" and the brilliant "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" and "It's a Good Life" featuring former child star Billy Mumy.

What is your favorite episode I am curious to know but I know most would include one of those I mentioned, so stop watching this 2019 garbage version and pull out your copies of the original or watch it now on Amazon Prime.

I love the old original Twilight Zone and I also had no idea another new version was out on TV. I would say my favorite episode was the one with  Bill Mumy, that was freaky.

Classic TV at its best and I must have watched this series complete a dozen times or more and still go back and put some episodes on.

Some of my Fav episodes are, The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street, Time Enough at Last, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet and It's a Good Life.

This latest Twilight Zone is beyond stupid, just pure garbage and blemished the name of the original masterpiece.

I agree, I love the old series and was excited for this but it is the worst of the reboots.

I said I was not interested but being quarantined and looking for things to do and things to watch I decided to check this new TZ out and hell it is stupid, it seems as mentioned to be politically correct driven and not just tell a good mysterious story.

The Twilight Zone (1959) was a groundbreaking show and one of the top 10 in classic TV, the several other reboots are all pale comparisons especially the ridiculous version by Jordan Peele that premiered in 2019.

There are so many classic episodes but a few are in the list in just about every fan, episodes such as "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" and  "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" which are two that are just in everyone's list.

However, almost every episode of this great series was memorable with some other standouts such as "Eye of the Beholder,"  "Time Enough at Last,"  "To Serve Man," "Living Doll" the list goes on and on.

I have been through this series so many times during the years and an episode is great viewing just about anytime.

I agree and I have my favorite episodes but quite often I go over the entire series, sorry for the late replies but one thing this forum lacks is a way to see direct replies made to you.

I am reliving this great series once more from premiere to the end, all other variations are rubbish.
