The Fugitive (1963-67)

Oh did I ever love this show watching it in reruns in the 70s and you might say a kid watching a show like this well in the 70s we did not have 300 plus channels of crap we had a few networks and maybe 13 channels so you watched what was on,

The opening train scene of how Kimble escaped for some reason I just loved especially when he dipped his hands in the stream and how the handcuffs sent off that sparkle, I know but as a kid, I thought that was so cool.

Most younger people know it only from the 90s movie of the same name but this classic series that ran for 120 glorious episodes was one of the best ever and still stands up today.

Dr. Richard Kimble is wrongly convicted for the murder of his wife and escapes in that spectacular train crash scene and then spent the rest of the series evading the authorities and the relentless LT. Gerard who I despised as a kid watching the series.

Filled with great acting, writing, and a long list of guest stars who went on to be big-time actors years later this series was never disappointing episode after episode.

For those who are interested, it is on Pluto TV.

Excellent series the movie of the same name that was a darn good movie still pales in comparison to this series. I highly suggest those who liked the movie watch this top-rated series.

It might be my favorite classic TV show but there are so many great ones like Route 66, The Naked City, Sea Hunt, and on and on, but I love this one, Janssen was superb.

Agree, "Route 66" is a classic with the highlight it was filmed on the road where the boys were actually visiting. Another superb series from TV golden years.

Agreed all around, one of the best classic TV shows ever and a personal favorite that I have watched right through on binges a few times.

Qu'ils mangent de la brioche

A bit too young in its first run but watched in reruns in the 70s and loved the show, just loved David Janssen. The kid of the 70s watched what was on because we did not have the 300 channels playing crap as they do today.

Youth is wasted on the young.

A personal favorite from TV's heyday I don't think I have seen a bad episode but like most shows, the earlier seasons are superior to the later ones.

Saturday Night at the Movies.

I will state this is the finest dramatic TV series in its long history, this is TV at its best compared to the nauseating junk that is aired each night on prime time, they have more channels but nothing to show.

This show was an emotional rollercoaster, a collection of fine acting, storytelling, and direction you name it, one of TV's best for sure.

Agree I do not think I disliked a single episode, I do have favorites but each episode just sucked the viewer into each compelling episode you just felt for Richard Kimble the audience had sympathy for him and rooted for him.

Saturday Night at the Movies.

Glad to see we have some fans on here and I would like to make a few more if some of these younger crew would watch, I guess they are more familiar with the movie from the 90s
