E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
How can so many movies made for kids or featuring young stars in prominent roles be listed on this topic and not the iconic movie from the 80s that had kids bawling in their seats. How can Henry Thomas and Drew Barrymore be overlooked? How can the magic of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial have been missing from this topic?
It seems most Gen Z kids know little of this movie that it would have gone unnoticed, I* bet 2 of you here can't admit to having seen it. This wonderful story about a troubled boy who befriends a lost Alien and tries to help him return home, who can forget E.T. Phone Home.
This movie is forever embedded in the hearts and minds of anyone who was a kid in 1982 and the 80s as a whole. This is a classic, the ultimate, and its star, Henry Thomas, should have been a mega child star afterward. All those kids from then who are still with us, I am sure, fondly remember this remarkable film from Steven Spielberg.
Looking back now, I realized it is incredibly sappy that many today have no taste for, but this movie should still be experienced by the kids of today, it even pre-dates me, but I enjoyed it as a kid of Home Video.

One of my all-time favorite movies, I saw this one also as a kid, I could not get enough of it, I just realized I have not seen this in ages, I wonder what I would think of it today as a jaded adult. I will watch again soon when I have some time and report back.

Highly overrated mush and many of you out there hated it, but to go with the crowd you pretend, this was just an infomercial to sell that ugly Alien mg on everything from backpacks, lunch bags. It was toys, meals at MCD, and all types of marketing to make Speilbergh rich. There is absolutely nothing new there, folks; it is the same tired story of a boy and his Dog, Horse, Dolphin, all with an ugly ET subbed in.
