Belfast (2021)
It seems these past three years, there's always at least one film generating a lot of Oscar buzz that has a young actor in a lead role or major supporting role. Two years ago it was Jojo Rabbit with Roman Griffin Davis as the lead. Last year, there was Minari with Alan Kim in the lead supporting role and News Of The World with Helena Zengel playing opposite Tom Hanks.
This year, it's the Kenneth Branagh-directed Belfast. This tells the story of family life during a time of political turmoil as seen through the eyes of a child. The lead actor here is Jude Hill. Not too much is known about him, but I expect we'll learn more about him in the months to come. Here's the link to the trailer.
On my to-see list when available and if enough info I can find Jude Hill will get listed, been a while since I added a new listing there.
Have been seeing the trailers and it does look interesting.
It looks promising always great to see a new young actor on the scene.
Looking forward to this one and to this exciting new young actor.
I think this will be a good one, looking forward to seeing this.
Early Oscar bait or hype we will see, it does seem to be worthy of a viewing.
This is on my to-see list always exciting to see how a new child actor does in a big role.

Cool! Over at TSO, I suggested three new additions to the site: Jude, Woody Norman and Saniyya Sidney.
I just recently watched it and a good movie and a very good performance by the youngster.
