After his computer commercial at about the age of two, he appeared on the series “The Wonder Years” as Young Kevin Arnold before moving on to be a regular on the short-lived series “Laurie Hill” were he played the young son Leo.
Eric appeared in numerous film and TV credits through the 90s and was for sure a very popular young actor as was displayed by his fan base at Teen Stars Online. Some of those credits he accumulated after “Laurie Hill” included from 1993 the feature film “Heart and Souls,” the TV movie “Sudden Fury” and the short film “Sunny’s Deliverance.”
The next year in 1994 he was again busy with roles in the TV movies “In the Best of Families: Marriage, Pride & Madness” and “Seasons of the Heart” and the features “Greedy” and the film series he might be best known for by appearing in the first “The Santa Clause” movie.
Eric’s only credit for 1995 was in the TV movie “Abandoned and Deceived” but made up for that with a busy 1996 with roles in “Dunston Checks In” another role he might be remembered for. All his other credits ion 1996 were voice work in direct to video entries such as “Virtual Oz”, “Toto Lost in New York,” “The Nome Prince and the Magic Belt,” “Who Stole Santa?,” “Goosebumps: Escape from Horrorland” and “Christmas in Oz.”
Eric continued to work regularly after 1996 and his 10th birthday by playing Young Bruce Wayne in Batman & Robin (1997) and Hilly in Deconstructing Harry as well as Young Sammy in My Giant. For 1998 he landed the role of Little John Warner the son of single mom Christina Applegate in the short-lived series “Jesse” which lasted 2 seasons. Eric who had quite a few Young Artist Award Nominations won for this series.
Eric again took on the role of Charlie Colvin for The Santa Clause 2 (2002) and was not active for four years before again playing Charlie in the third installment The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006). The role effectively took him out of his child and teen star days as he turned 20 in 2006.
After turning 20 for 5 years Eric had no film credits but returned in 2011 in two episodes of “About Abby” and a small role in “Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2” that same year, the next year he appeared in the mini-series “True Perfection” and after another 5 years away showed up in the TV movie “WeedLand” (2017) and according to IMDB has completed filming the feature “The Onyx of Wall Street.” Today Eric is credited as an actor, comedian, musician, and producer.
