The ’90s then was a wonderful time, filled with hundreds of talented teen actors. Some of them have gone on to make it big in the industry, while some chose simpler lives and left their fame behind. This article highlights some of the teen actors that were on top during the ’90s.
Macaulay Carson Culkin:
when we think of the 90’s teen actors, Macaulay Carson’s screaming face from the movie “Home Alone” comes to our mind first. Macaulay is an American actor born on August 26, 1980. He became famous when he played the role of Kelvin McCallister in the movie “Home Alone”. He has also starred in other movies such as “The Good Son” (1993), The page master (1994), Richie Rich (1994), and many more movies. Macaulay Carson Culkin was ranked number two on VH1’s list of the “100 Greatest Kid Stars”. He took a break from acting in 1994 and returned later in 2003 starring in the television show, will, and Grace, and many more movies to date.
Leonardo DiCaprio:
The American actor was born on November 11, 1974. He started his career in filmmaking by starring as Josh in the movie “Critters 3 (1991)”. He starred in the movies; “This Boy Life” and “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” in 1993. He later gained public recognition when he played a leading role in “The Basketball Diaries (1995)” and “Romeo and Juliet (1996)”. In 1997, he achieved his international fame with James Cameron’s heroic romance movie “Titanic”. Which became the highest-selling movie at that time. He has acted in many movies, and is still in the industry making it big!
Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen:
The twins, also known as “The Olsen Twins”, were born on June 13, 1986. They started acting at the age of six and continued up to their teenage years. In 1995, the twins made their featured film debut in the movie “It Takes Two”. In the same year, they introduced a video series “You are invited to Kate and Ashley’s” which Continued to release new entries until the year 2000. In 1998, they appeared in another television series (Two of a Kind). Although the TV series lasted for just a season, it was reshowed on cable for many years afterward. As they grew up, the twins showed greater interest in fashion, and they are now renowned and recognized fashion designers.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas:
Born on September 8, 1981, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA. He is an American actor and voice actor. He was known for playing Randy Taylor in ABC’s sitcom “Home Improvement”. He also voiced young Simba in the 1994 Disney movie “The Lion King”. He left “Home Improvement” in 1998 to focus on his academics. He then returned later in early 2004 to play a guest role in the movie “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” which was another ABC sitcom. Since then, he has been featured in a lot of movies.
Mara Wilson:
Mara Wilson was born on July 24, 1987. The American former child actress was recognized for playing Natalie Hilliard in the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire” (1993) and Susan Walker in “Miracle on the 34th Street (1994). In the same year, she also starred in a television film “A Time to Heal” playing the role of Barbara Barton. Since then, she has acted in many movies, and her performance in the movies caught the attention of Danny DeVito. He later made her a lead role in the movie “Matilda”. She continued acting until 2012 when she quit film acting to start a career in writing.

No Elijah Wood, how can you have a list of top 90s child and teen actors and no Elijah Wood?
I would have easily included Joseph Mazzello, Miko Hughes and Elijah Wood Jeff I can’t see how those three are missing they were good actors and also quite popular.
Top as in POPULAR and not in talent because if it is the latter the Olsen twins have no right on this list in terms of being popular that is true.
